Terms of Use
Effective October 11, 2026 · Applies to the StuffDNA iOS app and stuffdna.com
Please read these conditions carefully, especially the repair-safety and parts-compatibility provisions.
Agreement and eligibility
By using StuffDNA or accessing its services, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms and comply with Apple’s applicable App Store terms.
What StuffDNA provides
StuffDNA provides local equipment inventory management, maintenance tracking, document organization, and optional cloud AI-assisted troubleshooting and candidate replacement-part guidance. Features can vary by device, plan, service availability and configuration. External manuals and parts information are available only where accessible; access based on availability.
Repair guidance is informational, not verified fitment
AI results are predictions, not manufacturer-authorized diagnoses or confirmed part matches. The app may suggest components to inspect without verifying that replacement is required. Never order a part solely on an unsourced AI part number. Confirm equipment manufacturer, exact model, serial range, technical specifications, supersessions and fitment against official diagrams or an authorized supplier.
Always disconnect power and follow manufacturer instructions before servicing. Consult a qualified technician for electricity, gas, pressure systems, vehicles, structural work, blades or other dangerous equipment. You are responsible for your repair choices and safety precautions.
Your content and permissions
You retain rights to your inventory records and other content. You grant StuffDNA and its service providers a limited permission to process the details you intentionally submit to optional cloud functions for delivering that function. Do not upload unlawful content or someone else’s confidential information without authorization.
Free features, AI credits and advertisements
Free services can include limitations, advertising, introductory AI allowances or rewarded ad opportunities. Earned credits are granted only after service verification and may depend on third-party ad availability. They cannot be redeemed for cash. Abusive attempts to create false reward events or exploit introductory eligibility may be restricted.
Subscriptions, trials, and Day Pass
StuffDNA Pro may be offered as an automatically renewing weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription through Apple. Available introductory trials, pricing, renewal terms and eligibility are shown in the Apple purchase sheet and are determined under Apple’s rules. Unless canceled within Apple’s required timeframe, subscriptions renew and Apple bills your account at the then-disclosed price. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings.
An eligible one-time 24-hour Day Pass may be offered for introductory access with three Pro AI scans. It is not an automatically renewing Pro subscription. Eligibility, remaining uses and expiry are subject to verification. Purchased Standard AI token packs may be offered; each paid Standard scan costs two tokens. Purchases, refunds and consumer cancellation rights are governed by applicable law and Apple’s purchase terms.
Limits and paid access
Pro AI access is subject to reasonable daily usage and availability limits disclosed in the app. When access expires, Pro-only functions become unavailable unless another valid entitlement applies; the app does not intentionally delete locally stored inventory or saved results merely because access expires. Cloud account recovery may be limited in the current version: avoid deleting the app or device credentials while unused purchases remain, and contact support with a purchase record if recovery is needed.
Acceptable use and security
Do not reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited by law, bypass purchase verification, automate fraudulent new accounts, abuse AI or ad systems, interfere with servers, or submit malicious content. We may restrict abusive requests to protect other users and the service.
Third-party services and links
The app uses or may integrate Apple, RevenueCat, OpenAI, Railway, Cloudflare, and Google AdMob. Third-party websites and purchase services have their own terms and privacy policies. StuffDNA is not responsible for claims or stock status of third-party parts suppliers.
Availability, warranties, and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, StuffDNA is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted service, repair success, part compatibility or error-free AI output. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or consequential losses is limited, except where a limitation is prohibited. Nothing in these terms excuses fraud, gross negligence or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination, changes and disputes
You can stop using the app at any time and manage subscriptions through Apple. We may suspend service for material misuse, subject to applicable law. We may update these terms by posting a revised effective date and providing any notice required by law. Applicable legal rights and dispute procedures remain available to users. These terms do not create a mandatory arbitration agreement.
